I have been extremely fortunate to have worked with Terry Booker for a long time (if I told you HOW long, you might not believe me!) Terry has been the guiding light of the Great Vintage Flying Weekend for more than ten years, and I have volunteered there, because I thoroughly enjoy it – plus, I really enjoy working with my co-commentator, and dear friend, David Lee. I cannot emphasise the sheer enjoyment that participants and staff have at the event. As someone who has been concerned with events, shows and venue management (planning, supervision, execution) for over 30 years, I can safely say that this is the happiest event I have ever been involved in. GVFWE was on hiatus in 2008, but will be moving to its new, permanent, home at Kemble in 2009 (9-10 May). I will include a number of photographs on this page from previous shows, so readers can gain a sense of this unique aviation event.
